In this position, the Treasury Reconciliation Analyst will support the Kronos Payroll Services (KPS) business and will report directly to the Treasury & Accounting Operations Manager. The Treasury Reconciliation Analyst is responsible for the reconciliation of our client payroll tax liabilities to the client tax funds held in escrow in the payroll processing bank accounts. The reconciliation process will involve analyzing reports from multiple systems, identifying and correcting variances, and making recommendations to mitigate variances.

•Develop a close working relationship with our Kronos Payroll Services Tax team to understand the tax system and tax processing and the impacts on the reconciliation of accounts.

•Prepare the daily reconciliation report of client tax liabilities from our tax system to the client tax funds held in escrow from our banking reconciliation system using a custom macro program in Excel.

•Develop an efficient process for tracking the daily variance changes from the reconciliation report for improved visibility for analysis.

•Research causes of client variances in the tax system, our Kronos Payroll Modules and the banking reconciliation system.

•Coordinate bank transaction requests with our internal teams and clients to debit or credit our clients’ bank accounts to correct variances.

•Identify patterns of root causes of variances and recommend process or system improvements to help reduce or eliminate variances.

•Develop monthly reporting of outstanding and resolved variances for the Kronos Payroll Services Management team and our Corporate Internal Audit team.

•Partner closely with our Corporate Internal Audit team to review outstanding variances on a quarterly basis and provide recommendation to resolve outstanding variances.

•Work with KPS Treasury and Corporate Internal Audit teams to develop a policy and procedure for managing outstanding variances.

•Research client tax liability reconciliation systems or processes that are commonly used in the industry.

•Demonstrate integrity, ethics, accountability, responsibility, initiative and teamwork at all times.

•Perform all assigned job duties in accordance with Company policies, procedures and standard practices.

•Perform all other Treasury and Tax related duties as assigned.


•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field required
•3-5 years of payroll tax or reconciliation experience in a similar business
•Experience within a payroll/benefits processing organization or other payments services industry that handles client funds preferred
•Strong attention to detail and drive to dig in to complex research and analysis
•Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and communication skills
•Ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with senior leadership, business units and departments
•Proficiency to the intermediate level using spreadsheet, database and presentation applications; e.g., Excel and PowerPoint
