A role for do-er, a quick study, a person who loves software testing. The role of the Advanced Testing Services Consultant provides an opportunity to support customer resources during the test and certify phase including; test specification, managing test issues, test progress and status to timelines. The successful candidate will utilize the defined testing processes and procedures to meet the established testing milestones and targeted completion dates. Other responsibilities will include the following customer/site related tasks: Using professional concepts, creating detailed test plans and test cases to support customer documented business solution. Advise customers on, relative, recommended testing practices and technically creative solutions.

This role has responsibilities in the following areas:
Customer Testing Support
• Provide consultative testing support to Kronos customers, prepare / review detailed test strategies and plans
• Understand application requirements and design features to be able to write test cases
• Serve as primary testing liaison between customer and other Kronos resources, conveying customer test results with timely and accurate metrics and reports
• Proactively consult on testing best practice methodology to ensure client success
• Comfortable presenting in front of client audiences over the web as well as the phone
Service Development
• Development of Advanced Testing Services processes and templates
• Efficiency (comprehensiveness of testing documentation)
• Participate in the expansion of automated testing tools

Qualifications

This is a remote opportunity with up to 75% travel requirement.
• Knowledge of various software development life cycles and how testing is performed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of personal accountability and “self-starter” attitude to make progress in ambiguous situations
• Excellent customer service skills, sales and negotiation skills
• Good learning ability - functional and technical
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including C-Level presentation abilities
• International Software Qualifications Board (ISTQB) or similar certification
• Working knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, QAComplete
• Mastery in advanced Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP, match & index, both in dimensional and in array formula format
• Proficiency in analyzing XML data and ability to present data using Excel pivot tables for comparison and analysis. Or the ability to perform the same function using Python, JavaScript (or any other scripting language)
• Intermediate to advance level of Excel VBA knowledge
• Proficiency in working knowledge of Rest API using Postman or other tools
• Knowledge of SoapUI for automated API testing using Groovy scripting language
