The Software Development Team Lead will guide a matrixed team with technical and team leadership through coaching and mentorship with a primary goal of ensuring Customer Satisfaction for existing and new software features. This position requires an individual with a strong hands-on technical bent who is good at managing multiple priorities and enjoys working with and guiding software developers.

Responsibilities include:
• Be the primary interface for the Engineering team with the technical Customer Support team to understand, communicate and troubleshoot at a technical and domain level
• Lead and coordinate engineering efforts of developers for technical efforts prioritized for customers, including troubleshooting, problem-solving and identification of ways to solve customer dissatisfiers.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for existing products from technical debt, software stack maintainability, product security and ease of use from a serviceability perspective.
• Lead agile software development executing on software roadmaps and customer improvements.


The following core skills are required for the success in this position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering
• 7+ years of hands-on development experience with team leadership experience of 2 or more years showing the progression from a hands-on role is required.
• Demonstrated track record of success leading agile teams working on software is required.
• Strong hands-on technical experience developing software in Java for Andriod or Linux Embedded Systems for IoT or POS applications is required.
• Experience with Operating Systems at a source level, synchronization primitives, state machines, interfacing with low-level Linux device interfaces is strongly desired
• Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, JSON, XML, SSL, Linux Kernel, GCC for ARM and embedded web browsers is strongly desired.
