Kronos is looking for an experienced development lead to provide the necessary technical leadership for a highly productive offshore development team. The role requires an individual with strong backend technical skills that has also proven themselves in a leadership role, particularly with remote development teams. You will be working on a new workforce management solution that will be used by high profile companies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and many other industries.

The individual in this role will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead a team of offshore development resources
• Work with their scrum master to ensure work is properly defined
• Validation of proper design practices and coding patterns (Code Reviews)
• Manage technical dependencies
• Provide guidance on use and implementation of common components
• Technical escalation point for development issues
• Interface with Architectural team for design implementations
• Interface with QA lead to ensure quality code

Qualifications

The following core skills are required for success in this position:
• 8-12 years of experience in delivering high quality backend components
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role preferred
• Understanding of service oriented architecture and RESTful APIs
• Demonstrable expertise in Java
• Ability to create SQL scripts for database insertion
• Experience in full stack implementations (Java / NodeJS / JavaScript)
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and experience:
• Bachelors or Advanced Degree in Computer Science
• Experience working with offshore development teams
• Self-Managed and ability to make autonomous decisions
