Description

People
• Keep team members motivated and engaged while maintaining a positive atmosphere.
• Foster an environment where the team can create and deliver features using the appropriate technologies within defined scope and committed deadlines.
• Serve the team by participating in, and guiding, the design, development, and implementation of operational standards that result in highly available, scalable & reliable customer experiences.
• Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles.
• Represent the team in cross-team/domain meetings, discussions, and other interactions then facilitate collaboration efforts when projects dictate.
• Set expectations and serve as an example for professional team conduct.
• Coordinate troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues that are escalated to the team.
• Meet regularly with team members to gauge team well being and correct team level issues.

Process
• Ability to run a development team leveraging current agile methodologies.
• Support the team manager to maintain a steady flow of work.
• For any challenges that arise, facilitate and engage with stakeholders in order to come up with a reasonable solution.
• Actively contribute to, execute and monitor the team's process improvement efforts.
• Facilitate and coordinate an understanding at the portfolio level of cross-project dependencies to ensure smooth integration at completion.
• Actively manage workflow processes with the goal of solidifying the predictability and scalability of solutions while remaining flexible towards the management of multiple workstreams in a rapidly changing environment.

Technology/Domain
• Learn the existing technology and domain that the team works with daily to be better engaged in important team discussions.
• Ensure there is a process to share knowledge to develop and maintain a well-rounded, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, continuous improvement mindset and willing to “do what it takes” to get the job done.
• 3-5 or more years’ engaging and working with cross-functional enterprise level software development projects using Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with SaaS (Software as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) solutions.
• Understanding of current, and widely accepted, software development standards and practices.
• Experience with, or understanding of, Agile/Lean Software Development practices such as Kanban or Scrum.
• Ability to manage and balance multiple deliverables concurrently in an environment with shifting priorities.
