Description

The IT Support interns will assist UKG IT Support Services with small project work including IT asset management, Win10 modernization, mobile device management and end user support services.

Projects Include:
Windows 10 – modern OS management
o While working with the desktop engineering team, the IT Support Intern will learn the entire Windows 10 lifecycle and how Microsoft manages the operating system. The IT Support intern will assist with updating legacy versions of Win10 that cannot be upgraded through existing automation.

IT Asset Management (ITAM)
o Validate existing automated system(s) and vendor(s) integrations to maintain proper hardware inventory for all endpoint hardware
o Perform routine audits and reconciliation of new, returned and retired hardware
o In collaboration with onsite staff, the IT Support Intern will learn the full hardware life cycle from procurement, asset management, provisioning, collection, repair, replacement and retirement.
o The IT Support Intern will assist with campus asset management needs

Mobile Device Management (MDM)
o Assist with ongoing maintenance of the MDM system for mobile devices
o Assist with proactive upgrades and legacy device clean up

Qualifications

o Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Systems, MIS or Engineering
o Interests in IT, infrastructure, engineering and modern end user technologies
o Proficient with Microsoft Office solutions, databases, inventory controls
o Candidates should be comfortable interacting directly with business users, have direct customer service experience and interactions via phone, chat, email and ticketing platforms
o Ability to work full-time in our Lowell, MA location
