UKG PRO Release Manager is responsible for executing on all release policies while holding teams accountable for on time delivery across Product Development. This individual will monitor, analyze, identify and improve release management practices across all product lines. The individual will work with multiple teams across the development organization to drive a culture of continuity and consistency. The individual will collaborate with cross functional Product teams to define / redefine internal Product release processes ensuring that best practices are applied appropriately.

• Manage all aspects of the product release process
• Coordinate release schedules with Release Process Manager
• Enforce release management policies and standards with development teams
• Contribute to the development of release strategies for all software releases
• Accountable for the implementation of established delivery processes and methodologies
• Ensure that all products are delivered through effective use of approved processes, methodologies and practices
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time with quality.
• Measure and monitor and report on downstream application release impacts
• Develop necessary reports / dashboards for visibility and status, and work with teams to develop tooling as necessary to measure and monitor progress
• Responsible for Patch management ensuring consistency and adherence to policies in relation to hot fixes
• Coordinate releases between product teams, understand cross application / system dependencies and impacts
• Responsible for overseeing and consolidating overall release management reporting to stakeholders and executive management
• Participate in release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no-go reviews.
• Communicate release risk to business as required
• Escalate to stakeholders and executive management when the need arises

Qualifications

• 7 years’ experience in Release Management in complex product development and delivery environments
• Experience in collaborative development environments on large-scale team projects
• Experience in coordinating releases from development to production implementation
• Previous experience in agile and continuous delivery
• Experience in software development and process management
• Experience in build configuration and release management
• Solid organizational, analytical and communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Solid leadership skills not only to instill cultural evolutions, but also to ensure that release management practices are followed
• Comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization in formal, written and verbal formats
• Bachelor’s Degree in related Software Development field or combination of education and experience in a Software Development business discipline (HR, Finance, Release Management, etc.) and training
• Release Train Engineer (RTE) and / or Solution Train Engineer (STE) knowledge is beneficial
