Description

The Device Management team is seeking a Software Quality Automation Engineer to develop and qualify Kronos’ next generation devices. This will involve working with technologies and tools like Android, SOAP UI, Internet protocols, Java and SQL. We practice behavior driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery in an Agile process. We use state-of-the-art quality and test automaton tools – our processes are tailored towards ensuring a great customer experience. We are passionate about learning and applying new technologies in a highly collaborative environment.

•Strong advocate for building quality into the product
•Design and implement Automation Suites to effectively qualify releases from the Device Management team
•Decompose requirements and user scenarios into test scenarios and test cases
•Analyze defects, understand root cause, work with the development and Architects
•Identify test data requirement and generate data sets for testing
•Work with development team to instrument code for manual and/or automated testing
•Learn the domain of the application and become a subject matter expert for assigned task areas
•Keep abreast with latest technologies and test techniques exchanging ideas and effectively communicating the need for additional knowledge
•Work collaboratively and cross-functionally to diagnose and triage production issues

Qualifications

•6+ years of experience in automated testing on Android, Linux and Windows platforms
•Bachelors in Computer Science/ Engineering or related discipline
•Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in embedded software projects including Android and Linux
•Familiarity with client-server architecture
•Programming Skills in Java, Groovy, XML, Shell Scripting
•Experience with Automation Tools like SoapUI and Android UI Automator
•Knowledge of network topology
•Knowledge of testing tools like Wireshark, ADB (Android), PuTTY, Tera Term, WinSCP
•Experience with the following also desirable: Rest Assured, REST API, Jenkins
•Familiarity with testing for weak ciphers, insufficient transport layer protection, certificate validation.
•Ability to share your time and prioritize between multiple tasks
•Experience working in Agile Scrum environment is a plus
