Kronos is looking for a passionate developer with high volume web application experience to join our team in our Lowell, MA office. Join our development team and make an immediate impact on our fast moving, customer-centric web applications. The right Senior Java Engineer will have experience with various object oriented programming languages and be able to work with both front end technologies as well as implement server side logic. The Senior Java Engineer needs to be able to think strategically and operate tactically to be able to deliver on the technical vision of the company.

•This role is in the Workforce Central time keeping flagship product group. Will collaborate closely with other members of you team, designing and implementing high quality solutions driven by the product owner’s use cases
•You will contribute to the architecture of projects relating to a company’s business structure and job assignment
•You will contribute to the delivery and quality of code your team produces


•3-5+ years direct industry experience
•Programming concepts, design patterns, OOP, TDD, AOP, IOC/DI
•Full stack java-based web development: SQL, Java, Angular, J2EE, Spring MVC, HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JPA or Hibernate
•Strong SQL skills – including Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers
•Familiar with Agile development methodologies
•Version control systems and methodologies (Git preferred)
•Experience with writing Test Automation code for the UI or backend.

•Experience building software in a continuous integration environment
•Experience with Spring, Hibernate
•Experience in SaaS/Cloud application development, including an understanding of security concerns and multi-tenancy.
•Experience developing and deploying SaaS applications and services into production.
•Skilled at object-oriented analysis and design
