Kronos is looking for a hands-on software engineer to join our team in Lowell MA. You will play a key role in the development and testing of our next generation SaaS offering, in a highly collaborative, agile environment. The role requires a great team player with strong Java skills capable of working through the complete SDLC.

• This role requires a great team player with strong Java development skills and experience with other modern object-oriented programming languages.
• Think strategically and operate tactically to be able to deliver on the technical vision of the company.
• Build test automaton using such tools as Selenium and REST Assured
• You will collaborate closely with other members of your scrum team, while designing and implementing sound solutions to your product owner’s use cases.
• Contribute to the definition, elaboration, and execution of your team’s epics and stories.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code as a contributing member of the team.
• You should have an affinity for, and the ability to, influence and mentor more junior developers in an effort to continuously improve the tools, skills, and processes of the team.

Qualifications

The following core skills are required for success in this position:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience as a Software or Quality Engineer with coding skills in Java or other modern object-oriented programming languages required
• Knowledge of full software development life cycle, QA methodology, tools and software testing standards Solid design and coding skills with additional skills in building test automation and tools.
• 3+ years working within a truly agile development team
• Experience in SaaS/Cloud application development, including an understanding of security concerns and multi-tenancy.
• Track record of delivering high quality software on time
• Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and utilizing virtual machines
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decisions
• Shows creativity and initiative to improve test coverage and effectiveness
• Strong communication and organizational skills
