Site Reliability Engineers (SRE) at Ultimate Software are hybrid software/system engineers that have a breadth of knowledge encompassing all aspects of service delivery. They develop software solutions and best practices to enhance, harden and support our service delivery processes. This can include building and managing CI/CD deployment pipelines, automated testing, capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, alerting, and auto remediation.
Site Reliability Engineers at Ultimate Software must have a passion for learning and evolving with current technology trends as they drive the implementation and delivery of services. They strive to collaboratively innovate and are relentless in their pursuit of a flawless customer experience through their “automate everything” mindset to deploy services with incredible speed, consistency and availability. They are engaged in and improve the whole lifecycle conception to inception, including system design consulting, and capacity planning.
The SREs will be supporting with services and code (Java, C++, .Net) running in containerized and virtualized environments (e.g. OpenStack or GCP) through automation tools (e.g. Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform) and improve observability (e.g. ELK, Grafana) to quantify the customer experience into integrate actions across the services.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• Experience with either C++ or Java
• Some formal education (boot camp) in Computer Science, Software Development, Web Development, or related technologies
• Experience in a formal Site Reliability, Production Engineering, or equivalent role.

Desired Qualifications:
To be the preferred candidate, you will have a proven track record developing high quality software, as well as the following:
• 4+ years in a Site Reliability Engineering, Production Engineering, or equivalent role
• 4+ years supporting the design and customer expectations of a modern service
• 2+ years with CI/CD systems and their integrations
• 2+ years working in a public cloud (AWS, GCP, etc)
• Creative and self-motived collaborator with excellent troubleshooting, coding, design, and communication skills
• A BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline is preferred
