As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and excellence of our products. Embedded within an agile development team, you will work side by side with other Engineers to maintain, monitor and improve our production applications. You will write code to support the deployment of our applications and help advance our mechanisms for delivering customer value through our products. In our highly-collaborative environment, you will have the opportunity to continually grow as an SRE, and even help mentor others get to your level.


Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Lead design and development of tooling and processes to support service delivery for our products and services. Drive improvements into development processes based on data-driven analysis and team feedback
• Lead improvement initiatives for scaling, resiliency, efficiency, visibility, quality, & operations management
• Learn from hands-on experience. Expectation to learn and grow required skillsets to support our products as they continue to evolve
• Absorb enough domain knowledge to understand our applications and services to improve the ecosystem in which they exist
• Mentor other engineers on the teams to design with scaling, resiliency, efficiency, visibility, etc in mind
• Collaborate with Architects to provide an SRE prospective on domain-level initiatives

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of object oriented languages and software architecture best practices;
• Advanced knowledge of systems concepts (networking, storage, compute, virtualization, load balancing etc..);
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with the software development lifecycle and agile/lean development methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum
• Ability to collaborate with a development team to design and test applications in production
• Ability to communicate results to both a technical and non-technical audience
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 3 – 5 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with noSQL databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with containerizing application (Docker)
• Experience working with Kubernetes
• Experience with microservices
• Experience with event-driven architecture
