Seeking a software engineer who thrives in a fast paced, solutions oriented and creative environments.
The Software Engineer will join a team of expert troubleshooters who analyze customer issues, implement creative workarounds to restore functionality in the short term while performing root cause analysis and then suggesting viable solutions to provide permanent solutions. The qualified candidate will thrive in an environment where customer needs in a SAAS environment drive engineering priorities and engineering work consists of field result analysis feeding development requirements. Responsibilities include:
• As extensions of Kronos Global Support (KGS), accelerate the response to customer inquiries via the Help Desk
• Troubleshoot issues impacting the availability, reliability and performance of internal customer environments, Early Adopter and Customer production environments
• Troubleshoot, analyze and solve complex customer issues utilizing documentation, knowledge base, bug tracking system and support staff
• Participates in the writing technical documents (functional specifications, design documents, etc.) as required...
• Implement workarounds and configuration changes to restore functionality minimizing customer downtime
• Triage incoming production issues to emergency service upgrades, maintenance windows or to an upcoming/planned release
• Work closely with Engineering Delivery in support of urgent & maintenance service upgrades
• Coordinates data transfers to supporting test strategies and plans. Manage/Track escalations from Early Adopters. Provide support to Services & Support in the use of APIs
• Certify promotion of production non-standard reports, workflows and
• integrations. Perform customer pre-go live configuration audits. Develop & maintain support knowledge base
• Maintain agreed upon Operational Level Agreements
• Contribute to Support readiness via knowledge transfer (training & technical
• content)
• Communicate to constituents and senior leadership as required


• BS/BA degree in Software Engineering/Computer Science and a minimum year related work experience.
• Previous Senior Level support and development experience
• 5+ years’ experience with both Compiled (e.g. Java) and Interpreted (e.g.Python) , minimum 2 years of Java software development using a version controlled SCM repository.
• Basic understanding of SQL and ability to execute simple queries.
• Understanding of Platform technology and processes, including OpenAM, Tenant Management System, BIRT Reporting, Dell Boomi integrations, Cassandra/Spark, Tomcat. Familiar with Agile development methodologies
• Good to have experience in Test Driven Development, Test Automation
• Experience in using API's Excellent Debugging / Troubleshooting skills will be a plus
• Experience and demonstrated ability in conflict resolution and customer service techniques

• Databases-PostgreSQL, Cassandra; Web Platforms -Tomcat, node.js, NGINX,
