Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Developer is involved in the development and maintenance of schedule generation engines and labour forecasting engines. S/he supports a scrum team in building a high-quality product suite that meets and exceeds our customer expectations. S/He will be responsible for the following:

• Participate in analysing, designing, and defining test strategies, and in testing the scheduling and forecasting engines and related features.
• Collaborate with QA team members as well as all other Scrum team members to ensure appropriate implementation of business requirements.
• Work closely with our UX team to assess testing feasibility and identify risks.
• Ensure a high-quality user experience.
• Set up, configure, and maintain automated testing environments in a continuous integration setting.
• Develop test documentation, execute tests, and monitor results using application lifecycle tools.
• Provide complete automated testing coverage.
• Review business and functional requirements documents in order to create appropriate test documentation.
• Transform manual test documentation into robust, efficient automated test scripts.
• Participate in appropriate automated testing discussions and efforts in order to develop and maintain best practices within the automation and testing communities in the organisation.
• Report progress and results of automated testing efforts to appropriate leadership teams.
• Provide coaching and mentoring about automated testing to less-experienced team members.
• Continuously improve the productivity and efficiency of our automated testing efforts using innovative tools and techniques.
• Adhere to and promote standards for test development best practices.
• Stay current on new technologies and evangelize future adoption of next-generation automation tools and best practices as appropriate.

Qualifications

• **Professional French oral understanding is required**
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Operations Research or related discipline
• At least 8 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or related disciplines
• Experience in the employee-scheduling domain is preferred.
• Experience delivering cloud- or SaaS-based offerings is preferred.
• Strong background in functional testing and software quality best practices
• A background using risk-based testing approaches and familiarly with pattern-based test automation
• Relevant experience with automation tools
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum software development environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated collaborative and mentoring skills
• Team spirit, self-starter and creative.
• Highly motivated, well organised, capable of developing and executing a project plan, and able to communicate status effectively
