The Senior Project Manager is a critical focal point to our customers and internal resources. The PM is expected to manage all project aspects and resources in order to ensure timely, efficient, successful implementations. The PM will also be responsible for working across multiple geographies, cultures, languages and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. This role is within the Retail & Hospitality vertical and will require deep domain working expertise and understanding of the industry. This role will work strategically with the Sales and Service representatives in each geography to ensure a successful project, profitability, and customer satisfaction. This position is up to 50% travel with extended periods of time in a different locale.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Act as Primary customer liaison for all implementation related tasks.
• Demonstrated expertise in all facets of Project management lifecycle, including but not limited to, requirements gathering, staff management, budget management, issue and risk mitigation, and status reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with Sales and Service Representatives from different UKG geographies.
• Monitor project and/or personnel performance, checking actual performance against planned performance to ensure technical, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded.
• Collect inputs and prepare weekly and monthly status reports as required for all levels of an organization including Executive Steering Committees.
• Explain any deviations from planned budgets and schedules. In addition, prepare and support quarterly management reviews.
• Provide technical and leadership guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper, timely completion of work.
• Understand customers high level business needs and ensure that their designed project plan meets those requirements and the agreed upon Statement of Work.
• Leverage and take advantage of earlier customer work to maintain continuity of process and configuration.
• Assist in pre-sales efforts where required.
• Prepare project plans/schedules, reports and budgets and report to Customers, Regional Retail Practice and Regional Sales Manager.
• Anticipate problems or situations that could affect the Customer or Regional Services/Sales team.
• Provide consultative advice in accordance to Retail processes, procedures and leading practices.
• Manage escalated situations as proactively as possible, involving management as needed.
• Interact frequently with team, management and customers to define project requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations.
• Develop strong customer relationships as ‘trusted advisor’ at project management, payroll manager, and senior management levels.
• Strong attention to detail as well as ability to function strategically within account; proactively look at ‘big picture’ for project/customer short- and long-term goals; identify and drive additional revenue opportunities within account.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects within customer, tying them all together with strategic vision and focus.
• Ability to identify and drive business development opportunities in existing account base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7 to12 years of project management (preferred) work experience.
• Experience managing enterprise level project deployments (multi-workstream) is required and having project profitability expectations – including experience managing multimillion-dollar project budgets.
• Broad knowledge of labor management, HR / Payroll, ERP, or similar domain product/systems.
• Understanding of Retail labor reporting and data collection.
• Strong experience scheduling, preparing presentations and status reports.
• Superb written and oral communication skills required (e.g., proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint Project and Word).
• Ability to be agile, adapt to change and innovative ways of thinking and working.
• Ability to manage specific tasks to completion with minimal direction.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a project team.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% on a regular basis.
• Flexible work schedule to accommodate working with customers and colleagues in multiple time zones.
• Workforce management, scheduling, software implementation, consulting, ERP software experience is preferred.
• PMP certifications is preferred.
