Are you an experienced Product Manager or Product Owner with strong knowledge of Compensation Management and ready to take responsibility for defining and building something new? Are you accountable and driven and want to bring a brand-new product to market that helps companies better manage employee compensation practices? The Product Manager for Compensation Management has a deep understanding of the customer and market and has the ability to identify both spoken and unspoken needs, translating them into product solutions. S/he should enjoy communicating ideas at many levels of the organization and be adept at conveyance of complex ideas in simple and concrete ways. The Product Manager is organized and efficient, able to define and evangelize the product strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and create a motivating product vision that ensures success within committed timeframes.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Create and communicate product strategy and vision, aligned to corporate objectives
• Cultivate customer suggestions, manage the backlog and dependencies, prioritize functionality for on-time and on-budget delivery
• Manage product success with relevant metrics, benchmarks, and usage data
• Understand the competitive landscape and differentiation of the product, track industry trends and engage with key customers
• Represent the product on critical internal, customer and prospect interactions

Qualifications

• 5 years of Compensation Management experience and 3 -5 years working within an Agile development environment as a product owner, business analyst or product manager
• Understands market needs, segmentation, and trends and has a deep understanding of workflow and logic specific for compensation management systems
• Ability to articulate the needs for compensation programs supporting exempt and non-exempt employees
• Can accurately represent the needs and desires of the customer, perform informed competitive SWOT analyses and simplify complex problems to propose effective solutions and can communicate at multiple levels of the organization
• Has earned the respect of peers and leaders, can manage and resolve conflict, encourages dialogue, and inspires the team to achieve and excel
• Actively seeks out alternative points of view and is willing to adjust point-of-view as needed
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and commitments and collaborates effectively with dependent teams
• Aligns product strategy with corporate objectives and manages resulting short-, medium-, and long-term roadmaps
• Provides feedback on and acceptance of technical/functional/user designs from engineering, UX and business analysts in response to product and feature business requirements
• Pragmatic Marketing or SVPG training is a plus but not required
