Kronos is seeking an experienced Cloud Systems and Network Engineer capable of leading and integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of Linux based applications in our public cloud. The position requires hands-on knowledge and a thorough understanding of Public Cloud environment, software-defined networks, Linux architecture, cloud-based deployment technologies and experience in scripting languages. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Guide a team of experienced network engineers as and when required
• Build, configure, test and provide production cloud systems support that may include duties such as deployment, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting load balancers, firewall policies, VPN tunnels, DNS and Linux servers
• Liaise with Kronos support and users to resolve network issues related to systems access in Public cloud
• Configure and support IPSec VPN tunnels in cloud environment
• Conduct proof of concept with vendors and document results
• Orchestrate deployment of network services and systems within a Public Cloud environment utilizing a Cloud Management Platform
• Prepare network diagrams and keep existing network diagrams up to date
• Document existing and new public cloud deployments as per the approved architecture
• Follow best practices, procedures, and change management processes
• Should be proactive and able to operate effectively with minimum supervision
• Collaborate with technical/business teams assess requirements and recommend solutions
• Handle off-hour escalations as needed.


• 4-year technical degree
• Must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in supporting large complex networks, preferably in Public Cloud environment
• Must have hands-on experience in deployment and configuration of load balancers, firewalls, VPN tunnels, DNS, NTP in large networks
• Ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in leading a small team of experienced network engineers
• Industry standard network certifications preferred but not a requirement - Experience in supporting Linux based infrastructure will be preferred
• Strong understanding of cloud-based virtual network environments
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity
• Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable in global working environment
• Good at building and cultivating teamwork
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
• Strong understanding of Change Management and Network Audit processes
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience in working within controlled environment would be an advantage
