SR. Manager - Supply Chain

Reporting to the Director of EMS Vendor Management, the Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing Kronos’ Contract Manufacturers and Component suppliers’ process. This includes vendor management, planning, purchasing, inventory management, cost reduction and supply chain logistics for existing and new product development. The Supply Chain Manager ensures that every step of the process is functioning effectively to avoid costly delays and lost sales opportunities. Activities will include supplier price analysis and quarterly price reductions, supplier management, monthly metric package generation, oversight of forecast preparation. The Supply Chain Manager will drive changes to improve and support business activities.



Job Responsibilities:

• Provide direction, supervision and career development to direct reports
• Development of sourcing strategy and supply chain risk mitigation plans
• Analyze industry trends to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit emerging opportunities
• Coordinates with the Engineering Manager to evaluate vendor and component reliability and develop new supply sources to maintain competitive cost, quality and delivery.
• Control excess and obsolete material disposition and scrap costs with EMS supplier.
• Set cost savings goals and execute plans to reduce product costs
• Lead role to manage component and manufacturing supplier relationships including escalations and issue management for EMS, Engineering and Product Management teams
• Generates and manages supplier RFP/RFQ process to ensure optimum selection of supplier and/or product through evaluation of risk and benefits.
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers.
• Influence contract manufacturing processes, technology decisions and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
• Plans and designs Supply Chain processes and makes recommendations and changes to improve and support business systems and activities and builds scalability.
• Measure and drive solutions to manage forecast volatility, inventory levels and material availability impact to delivery schedules.
• Ensure priorities are handled effectively by modifying plans and actions in coordination with other key organizations.

Qualifications

Position Requirements

• Bachelors’ Degree Supply Chain Management or Business Management
• CPM, APICS and other professional accreditations are a plus
• 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management
• Negotiation and Vendor Management Skills
• Analytical and planning skills
• Forecast management experience
• Project management skills
• Experience with Oracle, SAP and Agile system applications desired
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
