The Senior QA Manager will be responsible to be the technical lead of his/her team of QA engineers and will ensure that software products are delivered timely with excellent quality. He/She will also be responsible for delivering a quality release and set of features – making decisions about feature readiness and identifying areas for quality improvements.

• Provide mentoring, guidance and support to the team in using processes and tools
• Drive and on-time delivery of software products with high quality, using agile and customer focused quality practices throughout project work
• Define and utilize metrics and reports to manage quality efforts, must take responsibility for the quality of products
• Define and drive with architects and product stakeholders the strategic aims and roadmap for product quality, including performance as well as testing throughout Software Development Life Cycle to achieve the department’s aim
• Drive high quality standards and practices through education, training, suggesting and trying new approaches to quality
• Help to define the strategic direction and roadmap for quality and testing throughout Software Development Life Cycle
• Responsible for working closely with the development manager to provide overall quality measurements for products being tested
• Collaborate with other teams within the quality organization as well as cross functionality with other key stakeholders in Development, Product Management and Project Management Office. High degree of matrix management and ability to influence others
• Expert in facilitating and managing groups & teams around a topic or activity
• Awareness of new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as it relates to quality as well as apply the latest techniques and industry information as appropriate

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience along with 5-8 years of experience in people management
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional boundaries to drive high quality results
• Excellent in manual testing, a strong quality assurance management background is desired with working knowledge of automation technologies
• Decent software development management background is desired
• Able to work in an Agile/Scrum mode
• Key skills include an ability to organize and motivate a team, analyze and resolve risks, execute a project plan and communicate status accurately
