We are currently searching for a Software Asset Management (SAM) to assist in the day to day and strategic development of the SAM program at UKG. In this role you will be responsible for daily and strategic management of the SAM program including optimizing the value, cost and risk of software. Areas of management include audit response, software request processes, compliance management and license management.

Specifically, you will:
• Manage relationship with 3rd party Managed Service Provider including associated tools to be deployed in the UKG environment
• Project Manage the roll out of SAM program, policies and tools to UKG environment
• Actively assesses risk and cost take out opportunities and makes recommendations to senior leadership for adding products into the scope of the SAM program
• Prioritize and manage optimization and remediation projects – including coordination with cross functional stakeholders and leaders
• Advise the relevant project, program, infrastructure and application portfolio managers on software licensing and compliance, and recommend actions that will optimize the software asset portfolio
• Stay informed of new and updated software license models and options for key vendor products
• Act as the lead for all software audits to navigate playbook and audit response
• Be responsible for continuous improvement of SAM program and tracking against the UKG SAM roadmap
• Manage license management and software request processes as well as build out internal enterprise wide license education program
• Work with the Procurement Team and Legal department to interpret software agreements, determine use rights and provide key terms and conditions summaries, ensuring compliance by comparing current and future usage plans with those rights.
• Assist in resolving non-compliance issues while ensuring existing and planned future usage complies with the use rights.
• Provide impact assessments on all pending or potential architectural changes, outlining incremental license or maintenance costs due to change and pinpointing any potential cost mitigation opportunities based on license use metrics or product use changes
• Execution and ongoing review of policies
• Create and deliver reports for leadership and other stakeholders, and present quarterly ELPs to leadership
• Manage SAM Analysts

Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of Software Asset Management principals / practices
• Knowledge of product use rights for publishers such as Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, IBM, VmWare etc.
• 10+ years experience in IT or SAM role
• Understanding of Asset Management tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with hardware technology and configurations including virtualization
• Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams
• Experience in, or capability to succesfully manage a team of SAM Analysts
