Kronos is looking for a Senior Java development manager for leading an engineering team in Noida. Candidate must have a passion for the software development and previous experience leading a successful engineering team. Candidate must be proficient in defining and executing appropriate development strategies/plans, success metrics for high quality deliverable for a new development product.

The candidate must have previous management experience in software development across multiple projects as well as experience with agile/scrum methodologies.
• Candidate should have prior working experience in Google or AWS cloud (GCP will be a plus).
• Sets, communicates, and monitors performance & development goals and achievements on an on-going basis for self and team of 15 -20 engineers.
• Mentoring the team and provide guidance and support in using processes and tools.
• Drive and deliver software products on-time with high quality; using agile and customer focused quality practices throughout project work. Must take responsibility for quality of products.
• Define and drive with architects and product stakeholders the strategic aims and roadmap for product performance as well as testing throughout the SDLC to achieve the department’s aim.
• Collaborate with other teams within engineering organization as well as cross functionality with other key stakeholders in Development, Product Management, and Project Management Office. High degree of matrix management and ability to influence others.
• Drive research & development of high performing reusable components and solution accelerators leading to Productivity & Efficiency improvement of Performance Testing & Engineering team.
• Keep current on new technologies and make recommendations on future direction as it relates to performance engineering as well as apply latest techniques and industry information as appropriate.
Expertly facilitate and manage groups and teams around a topic or activity

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Computer Sc./ Engineering from top colleges of state universities and other good engineering institutes with 60% throughout academics.
• Degrees attained B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./M.S. in Computer Science / IT and related field.
• More than 15 years industry experience, with more than 6 years of direct project and people management experience. Should have experience in leading the development and quality organisation.
• Experience with managing project on multiple technological and skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Fluency in software quality methodology and tools as well as understanding of software development.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft, Java, and Web technologies
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment preferred
• Key skills include the ability to organize and motivate a team, analyze and resolve risks, execute a project plan and communicate status accurately.
• Experience with HR, Payroll or other Labor Management products a plus
• Experience with SAAS + Multi-tenant solutions a plus
• Experience of managing team of engineers in a product company
