Description

Kronos is looking for a passionate senior Full-stack Java developer with a drive for quality, working with both Java and JavaScript and their frameworks building complex Single-page web applications.
The candidate will have a wide-ranging experience, use professional concepts in line with company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

The Senior Full stack Java developer will:

• Develop, support, maintain and implement complex projects.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary role to plan and lead product development, identify and fill technical gaps.
• Lead performing design definitions across one or more products aligning needs with cross functional product teams.
• Offer expertise cutting across units and make tactical decisions having an impact on business - keeping up to date on new trends, estimating, assessing, managing and meeting commitments across projects. Be comfortable challenging estimates for the projects which don’t appear reasonable.
• Model for the benefit of others, excellence in setting and delivering on commitments.
• Define work, set direction and seed innovation.

Technical skills
• Able to provide in‑depth evaluation and investigate issues and code defects, potentially, across all levels of the application stack, from database to browser, including external libraries.
• Has the ability and interest to mentor the developers on the team.
• Understanding of the challenges inherent to web SPAs (Single Page Applications)
• Conversant in UI development patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Perform constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques and ensure that fellow developers are considering all relevant factors in order to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code and ensure quality and conformance to product standards.
• Recommend new technologies, methodologies and practices to increase productivity and better the applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in Computer Engineering
• 10 years+ of direct industry Web development experience
• In depth knowledge on Java, Struts, Servlets and JSP
• Proficient level with JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Experience with AngularJS, JQuery, Ext JS, jQWidgets or similar frameworks
• Experience building REST and SOAP APIs.
• Ability to query databases, knowledge of SQL.
• Proficient with Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Experience and serious about unit testing, Junit
• Experience with TDD
• Knowledge of Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Protractor

• Proficient with industry building tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ant, Eclipse, WebStorm, Gradle
• Familiar with Continuous integration
