Description

Kronos is looking for a passionate Senior Front End developer with a drive for quality, working with JavaScript and its frameworks building complex front end User Interfaces.

The Senior Front End developer will:
• Develop, support, maintain and implement complex components of project modules.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary role to plan and lead product development, identify and fill technical gaps.
• Lead performing design definitions across one or more products aligning needs with cross functional product teams.
• Offer expertise cutting across units and makes tactical decisions having an impact on business - keeping up to date on new trends, estimating, assessing, managing and meeting commitments across projects. Be comfortable challenging estimates for the projects which don’t appear reasonable.
• Model for the benefit of others, excellence in setting and delivering on commitments.
• Define work, set direction and seed innovation.
Technical skills
• Deep understanding of the challenges inherent to SPAs (Single Page Applications)
• Permanent concern regarding software performance, page load time, memory footprint and memory leaks.
• Able to provide in‑depth evaluation and investigate issues and code defects, potentially, across all levels of the application stack, from database to browser, including external libraries.
• Has the ability and interest to mentor the developers on the team.
• Perform insightful and constructive code reviews to help maintain and teach proper coding techniques and ensure that fellow developers are considering all relevant factors in order to prevent regression defects or the introduction of problematic code.
• Recommend new technologies, methodologies and practices to increase productivity and better the applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in Computer Engineering
• 5 years+ of direct industry Web development experience
• Expert level with JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Expert level with AngularJS, JQuery, RxJS, Ext JS, jQWidgets or similar frameworks
• Proficient with WebPack or similar minification, compression and optimization frameworks
• Experience building UI for REST and XML Back End
• Proficient with Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Experience and serious about unit testing
• Experience with TDD
• Knowledge of Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Protractor
• Familiar with Continuous integration
• Knowledge of industry building tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, Ant, WebStorm
• Experience with a back-end language such as Java a plus
• Experience with legacy technology such Flex a plus
