Senior Engineer/Lead Jira Developer

We are seeking a strong Jira developer to join our Engineering tools group. The position requires someone who has previous experience working with JIRA and Script Runner. The ideal candidate will have direct experience customizing JIRA to provide custom workflows, enhanced capabilities, and automation. This position works with the rest of the team to implement, maintain and customize multiple mission-critical systems including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Checkmarx, Blackduck Hub, and more.

Principle Responsibilities:
Maintains and supports JIRA and other tool implementations
Responsible for all aspects of application and system administration, including troubleshooting user issues, configuring user accounts, workflows, custom fields, dashboards, reports, etc
Performs system maintenance and upgrades
Participates in research, design and implementation of new system features and/or plugins
Documents system design, configuration and user training guides
Assists with user training sessions
Requires minimal supervision on small to medium scale projects


• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred
• Candidates should possess 3-10 years’ experience in a technology-related field with a Knowledge of Jira Groovy scripting
• Must possess ability to multitask, prioritize and work with multiple users and applications while maintaining a professional attitude
• Must be willing and able to change direction during development as requirements and priorities change
• Knowledge of networking and database troubleshooting techniques using command line and SQL tools such as SQL management studio
• JIRA/Atlassian Admin Certified a plus
• PowerBI and experience building and managing data warehouses a plus
• Experience with Java, Groovy and other languages is a strong plus. Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Confluence, Bitbucket) helpful
