In this position, the Sr. Director of Treasury Operations will support the Kronos Payroll Services (KPS) business and will report directly to the Head of Operations for the Kronos Payroll Services business with dotted line reporting to the Corporate Controller. The Sr. Director of Treasury Operations is responsible for directing treasury services activities for Kronos Payroll Serviced including executing banking infrastructure and services, collections and disbursement strategies to meet business needs in a cost-effective and controlled manner. The position is also responsible for cash management, cash processing, reconciliation of customer accounts, and operational cash movements for KPS. The Sr. Director will collaborate with the Corporate Controller, as well as the Corporate Tax and Treasury team.

Responsibilities:
• Manage, mentor & develop a team of 4-5 professionals in our treasury service function.
• Direct the cash management functions including the payroll processing funding and disbursements for the Kronos Payroll Service business.
• Manage banking and financial institution relationships as they relate to cash management of the Kronos Payroll Service business including negotiating bank and service fees.
• Direct cash operations activities to include credit and ACH funding policies, fund reconciliation to the client level, management of the associated bank accounts to include stop payments, fraud inquires, and escheatment
• Manage functional compliance and reporting for state regulations specific to Money Services Business filings and Payroll Services registrations.
• Develop documentation and policies for treasury/cash management to ensure an effective control environment.
• Identifies, recommends and oversees execution of necessary changes to treasury processes, organizational structure, technology and infrastructure.
• Builds strong relationships with management of Kronos Payroll Service business as well as Corporate Finance, Accounting, Compliance, Tax and Treasury functions
• Develop and ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX controls, policies and procedures.
• Ensure accurate reporting of receipts and disbursements to the KPS general ledger for consolidation into the Kronos Inc. financial statements.
• Provide recommendations on investment policy and strategy and manage investments for Kronos Payroll Services in line with the established Corporate Investment Policy.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field required. Advanced degree preferred.
• 8 - 10 years of functional experience and 4 - 5 years of leadership experience in a similar business overseeing the cash management process.
• Experience with in a payroll/benefits processing organization or other services industry that handles client funds strongly preferred.
• Experience with SOX controls and policies.
• Certified Treasury Professional &/or Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, and practices of accounting and control.
• A proven track record of project management and the ability to effectively drive and implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of bank account and relationship management, collections, disbursements, budgeting, enabling treasury technology and treasury accounting.
• Proficient in use of financial reporting systems and on-line banking systems. Experience with Oracle is a plus.
• Proven ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with senior leadership, business units and departments.
• Proficiency to the advanced level using spreadsheet, database and graphics applications; e.g., Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.
