The Senior Director, Software Development/Engineering will create and lead a team envisioning and delivering an enterprise product suite, expected to revolutionize the way employees are managed within the workplace. He/she will partner closely with Product Management, User Experience, Sales and Services as well as, customers to ensure the success of the product.

The ideal candidate will have proven success in building and delivering enterprise class software/systems and managing large global teams with multiple products & technology platforms. He/she will have strong communication, change management & leadership skills. In addition, knowledge in SaaS and Cloud deployments is highly valued. He/She will work effectively at multiple levels; in the trenches with individual engineers, at the white board with senior designers and engineering managers and around the board room table with senior executives and customer stakeholders. He/She should be confident and effective in communicating and advancing an agenda through personal credibility and influence.

Key Areas of Responsibilities :

• Lead cross-functional, cross-geography teams to deliver enterprise workforce management solutions to market
• Responsible for leadership, management, and oversight of development, architecture, and engineering support.
• Responsible for overall Quality of service for the Platform technologies and services being delivered for the full suite of product(s)
• Define and implement the development methodologies that will achieve availability of these new solutions as quickly as possible while still ensuring great quality
• Drive the program execution of the software from product definition through successful release and transfer to sustaining engineering
• Implement the Agile-based development practices that will achieve availability of new solutions as quickly as possible while still ensuring great quality
• Lead and reinforces company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees. This individual will be looked upon to inspire confidence and add additional leadership strength to the broader management team
• Keeps current on new technologies and makes recommendations on future directions as appropriate. Educates and leads the engineering teams in design practices for cloud-based products
• Identifies and fills technical gaps and facilitates knowledge transfer throughout the organization
• Develops and maintains domain, product and process knowledge to improve the market alignment, product quality and engineering practices within Kronos India
• Collaborates with cross functional groups in India and in other geographies to understand the business needs and build solutions to address those needs


• A minimum of 22+ years’ experience in software development with end to end responsibility for commercial software products – at least 5-7 years of experience in a product based organization
• Minimum of 7 or more years of experience at the Director/Sr. Director or higher
• A solid engineering foundation indicated by a demonstrated understanding of product design of complex systems and/or web-based enterprise applications for a SaaS multi-tenant environment
• Extensive software engineering development and design experience with complex and highly scalable products using multiple technologies, platforms and languages
• Experience in SCRUM & Agile software development methodologies, values and practices
• Candidate must possess excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and programming skills in technically complex environments and architectures and be decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution
• Ability to attract top talent and plan for succession; demonstrated success in motivating and cultivating high performing teams and instituting change where needed; high energy and passion for nurturing great engineers, teams, and products
• Clear appetite for continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technology
• Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and verbal & written communication skills
