The Senior Cloud Release Program Manager is responsible for driving and maintaining the Kronos Cloud Release Management for all Cloud services (Product, Infrastructure Services and Devops). The role will both actively manage the SaaS Release process and lead team members for a Kronos Public Cloud program. Works closely with Senior Architects, Cloud Management teams and others to develop and track project and release plans for cloud services, including high level milestones and metrics.
Responsibilities
• Drive Continuous Delivery and continuous process improvement of application and OS Service releases in public SaaS business
• Understand PMI/ITIL – Service Management / Cloud Infrastructure as a services best practices into the organization.
• Develop and architect a Release calendar process for application and Cloud service releases supporting mission critical services. Helps to identify priorities and resource requirements for each project or program. Communicates and plans change management activities involving scope, schedule, etc.
• Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to Cloud management to ensure successful delivery of of projects into Cloud ecosystem.
• Develops tools to drive project/program management success.
• Partner closely with counterparts in Cloud Operations, development, QA, product management, and architecture and to ensure the success of their products.
• Drive and mange long term planning of Cloud SAAS Release schedules that ensures Security and Compliance for SOC Controls.
• Leverage Product and program management practices to lead innovative initiatives focused on customer experience, scalability, continuous delivery and team development
• Makes strategic and tactical recommendations to Cloud management to ensure successful delivery of of projects into Cloud ecosystem.
• Use Agile methodologies to plan, coordinate and lead deployments of major product releases, weekly patches and daily changes in a SaaS environment
• Creates and delivers presentations, develops communications and communicates to cross-functional audiences both internally and externally.
• Assist with other initiatives to evaluate and drive customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline or equivalent experience. PMP, PgMP, or PMI certification a plus. Exposure to programming and ability to understand basic software architecture concepts.
• Hands-on implementation of Cloud Infrastructure projects or projects completed in cloud platforms like AWS, Google or Azure. Broad knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure, Tools, Automation
• A minimum of 5-8 years of Cloud Release management experience in Cloud Infrastructure and software development.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a project team. Ability to influence across functional boundaries and across multiple organizational
• Strong experience scheduling, preparing presentations and status reports. Strong analytical skills.
• Superb written and oral communication skills required (e.g., proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word).
• Knowledge of agile/scrum and the ability to work within an agile environment is a plus.
• Prior experience working with geographically distributed teams and off-shore partners.
• 3-8 years team management experience
• Ability to perform multiple tasks ranging from project management to coaching other team members.
