Kronos is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect with practical experience in aligning Cloud services to business needs as it relates to enabling Kronos SaaS solutions for public cloud delivery. Be a leader in this innovative team architecting solutions in a complex technical landscape in the public cloud which serves as the foundation for our enterprise SaaS offering. The position requires knowledge of cloud-native technologies as well as knowledge of infrastructure related technologies like DNS, SMTP, SFTP, Linux Operating Systems, SFS in the Cloud, Security Protocols, Containers, Automation and Orchestration (CI/CD). The ideal candidate will also have experience in leveraging these technologies to compliment a web-based multi-tiered SaaS solution that is multi-tenant, microservice based and highly distributed. The ability to work with stakeholders, gather requirements, collaborate with development teams, design and document robust solutions all while keeping supportability, scalability and reliability in mind are critical aspects of this role. This position requires a deep technical background and offers the candidate a challenging, dynamic, and rewarding environment to work in.

Responsibilities:
• Design complex, highly-available global computing environments that enable Kronos SaaS enterprise solutions
• Create infrastructure solutions that satisfy customer requirements, cost-efficiency objectives and security standards
• Provide guidance and direction on architecture standards and technologies for enabling systems performance qualities for service reliability, availability, scalability, security, and supportability
• Collaborate with product architecture, product management and program management teams to establish best practices and drive delivery of end-to-end solution
• Create and maintain roadmap for cloud services platform staying ahead of technology advancements supporting SaaS enterprise solution
• Actively participate in Cloud architecture and security governance and help drive process improvements
• Support requests from Kronos leadership and product management to provide estimates and strategies for Cloud expansion and integration of additional offerings based on business roadmaps
• Assess, design and develop Cloud solutions that support business goals, working across Kronos business and technical teams as appropriate
• Prepare internal and customer facing artifacts to help communicate, in business language, information about Kronos Cloud solutions and security
• Participate in the development, advocacy and adoption of deployment best practices leveraging tools and processes to enhance productivity and efficiency
• Maintain and advance deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
• Advocate and educate on cloud platform solutions with internal customers across sales and professional services organizations
• Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers

Qualifications

• Must have 10-15 years of experience building and supporting enterprise infrastructure services in progressively responsible technical roles
• Broad technical understanding of cloud architectures, technologies and service-oriented models, including cloud operations management, DevOps, applications, compute services, virtualization and extended networking domains
• Able to design large scale cloud infrastructures to support enterprise SaaS operations
• Experience working with public cloud – Google Preferred
• Strong technical foundation in infrastructure and operations including HA/DR; Must have a good contextual knowledge of applications and data
• Practical experience managing architecture standards and change governance
• Familiar with architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF) and how they may be applied
• Experience designing to achieve requirements for compliance, security and privacy (SOC1/2, ISO27001, GDPR, etc.)
• Experience with load balancing technologies, firewalls, network protocols is a must
• Management of infrastructure (patching, upgrading, release strategy in the cloud)
• Integration with IDP and Authentication protocols is a plus
• Highly collaborative with an ability to influence and reach consensus
• Positive and adaptable working style for business or technical interactions
• Ability to communicate effectively emphasizing written and oral presentation skills
• Results oriented, innovative, proactive with an ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams
