A Senior Business Analyst at UKG is an experienced and essential member of a cutting edge agile team, responsible for the delivery of functionality of our innovative cloud based Human Capital Management software solution. This individual is an analytical thinker with domain knowledge and strong customer focus, who is accountable for researching, analyzing and documenting clear and actionable business requirements in a way that they can be distributed across one or more development teams, to incrementally deliver the desired functionality. This role requires talent and passion for collaboration and will be working with skilled Software Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Managers in creating high-quality software for customers and the organization in his/her product area. Skills essential to this role are strong analysis, organization, written and verbal communication, ability to grasp new domains quickly and understand the upstream and downstream effects, along with a disciplined approach to the processes (escalations, JIRA, documentation etc.) specific to UKG.

Qualifications

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:

• Owns the definition, prioritization and direction of complex features and enhancements that have cross domain/team dependencies throughout the development process.
• Defines and documents conditions of acceptance with other stakeholders input including UX Designers, Developers and QA.
• Drive customer & internal stakeholder meetings and research industry trends to identify customer needs.
• Participates in organizational and customer readiness activities for new product releases by reviewing learning content and joining knowledge transfer events.
• Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for their product across the organization internally and assists with troubleshooting escalated customer issues.
• Mentor and train Business Analysts on tools, procedure, technology, standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with leadership on identifying and execution of process changes

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• 5 or more years of experience in a Product Owner or Software/Product Business Analyst in Agile or Lean Software Development environment
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly grasp complex functional issues and synthesize new ideas, decomposing into granular requirements.
• Ability to inspire and lead development team to deliver on time with quality in a dynamic environment without management authority
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities and self-motivate to enhance job performance.
• Communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at multiple levels, guide individuals with different personalities and styles to a common outcome
• High degree of organizational skills
• Subject matter expert in primary domain and knowledge of related domains.

Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Functional and technical knowledge of HCM, Payroll or Tax systems strongly desired.
• Certifications in HR related fields (e.g. CPP, FPC, CPA, PHR, SHRM-CP, CPP)
