The Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation) will be involved in the development and maintenance of employee scheduling and workforce forecasting engines. He or she will be part of a team of 10 people all located at 3535 Queen Mary, Montreal (near Côte-des-Neiges metro station) and will report to the development manager of the engine & forecast team. The team consists mainly of mathematicians / researchers in operational research and also 2 senior QA who know very well the business field and will be a very important resource persons.

Your daily tasks:

• Participate in the analysis, modeling, prototyping, design and development of Scheduling engines and any other related workforce management functionalities
• Collaborate with QA team members and all members of the Scrum team to ensure the appropriate implementation of functional requirements
• Work closely with the user experience team to assess the feasibility of testing and identify risks
• Define, configure, and maintain automated test environments in a continuous integration framework
• Develop test documents, run tests, and monitor results using tools for the application lifecycle
• Participate in appropriate discussions and efforts on automated testing to develop and maintain best practices within the automation and testing groups in the organization.

Qualifications

• A good oral understanding of french is needed (it is NOT compulsory to speak french though)
• About 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or a related discipline
• Rich experience with automation tools (mostly back-end)
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Operational Research or a related discipline
• Solid experience in functional testing and software quality best practices
