Description

The Senior Proposal Analyst is responsible for managing the planning, development and final creation of commercial proposals. The Proposal Analyst will scope the RFP and prepare a list of tasks; prepare a project schedule and conduct a conference call with project team; answer Corporate questions, compile and produce draft and final copy. Additional duties will include editing and re-writing answers in the RFP answer database, and creating boilerplate proposal materials for Sales.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated top performer with extensive writing experience in marketing or sales related materials. The candidate should also have project management skills and experience working with executive sales teams. The Proposal Analyst must be driven to succeed, passionate about meeting deadlines, and willing to go the extra mile to deliver a quality proposal. Candidate for this position must have direct experience editing executive summaries and developing sales proposals. This is an individual contributor position.


Principal responsibilities may include:

1. RFP Project Management: scope RFP requirements, develop project schedule. Manage final deliverables.
2. Proposal Formatting and Assembly: Assemble contributions from RFP project team into the response template, edit and format final response. Coordinate with vendor for production support and delivery.
3. Write/Edit Proposal Content: Work with subject matter experts (SME) to develop solution overviews. Edit contributions from project team members to ensure communication of value and consistent voice.
4. Edit RFP Database: Assist in editing boilerplate answers in RFP answer database to reflect value of solutions.
5. Boilerplate Materials: Create reusable boilerplate proposals, solution overviews, and RFP answers from existing marketing and technical materials, or by working with the Marketing team.
6. Build knowledge of Kronos market and solutions: Read materials and attend in-house programs to build knowledge of Kronos solutions, industry, and market needs.

Qualifications

• Project management and organizational skills
• Proven writing experience in technical sales or marketing
• Ability to summarize highly technical information and communicate value (customize proposals)
• Understanding of enterprise software and technology business
• Advanced MS Word skills, with experience using tables, styles, macros and templates, and Adobe applications
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a self-starter and assertive to obtain needed information from senior personnel under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Experience responding to public sector and commercial RFPs a plus
• Experience with Ombud software a plus

Education and/or Experience:

• BA/BS degree strongly preferred or equivalent experience (writing, marketing, general business)
• 8 – 10 years writing proposals or marketing and sales related materials
• 5 – 8 years project management
• Software industry experience preferred
