Coordinates and monitors consulting projects from initiation through delivery. Serves as liaisons between the organization and client in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensures that billable projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Operates without supervision. Usually reports to the Director/Manager of IT Professional Services Project Management. Typically requires 10 to 14 years of IT professional services project management experience.
The Professional Services Project Manager is a critical focal point to customers. The PM is expected to manage all project aspects and resources in order to ensure timely, efficient, successful implementations. Retail is one of our largest verticals boasting a vast array of customers both nationally and internationally. These clients range from department stores, specialty retailers, grocers, hotels, dining, and gaming organizations. We are in search of a leader and a team player with experience in one or more of these spaces who has a passion for building relationships and delivering outstanding customer service.

Specific duties include:

A PM on our team will be expected to…

•Develop strong customer relationships with senior leadership as a ‘trusted advisor’ for project management.
•Assign a wide range of tasks based on skills, experience, and availability; clearly communicates task priorities, helping personnel adjust workload as needed.
•Interact frequently with team, management and customers to define project requirements and identify solutions consistent with defined terms, methodology, policy, and regulations.
•Prepare project plans/schedules.
•Manage the project financials on an ongoing basis.
•Track and monitor all deliverables, calendars and meetings as necessary.
•Set performance goals for project team or work unit.
•Monitor project and/or personnel performance, checking actual performance against planned performance to ensure technical, schedule, and budget goals are met or exceeded.
•Collect inputs and prepare weekly and monthly status reports.
•Explain any deviations from planned budgets and schedules.
•Prepare and support quarterly management reviews.
•Provide technical and leadership guidance and direction to personnel to ensure proper, timely completion of work.
•Provide personnel with timely, constructive, and actionable feedback that increases individual and team effectiveness.
•Anticipate problems or situations that could affect the customer and team.
•Assess the potential impact on own and others’ work, and develop and execute the best work solution.
•Manage escalated situations as proactively as possible, involving management as needed.
•Mentor internal team members


Individuals looking to be a part of our talented team should possess the following…

Minimum Required Qualifications

•5 to 10 years of project management (preferred) work experience.
•Experience managing an implementation team highly desirable.
•Experience managing large software implementation projects and having project profitability expectations.
•Experience managing multi-million dollar project budgets.
•Strong experience scheduling, preparing presentations and status reports.
•Superb written and oral communication skills required (e.g., proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word).
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to work as part of a project team.
•Ability to perform multiple tasks ranging from project management to coaching other team members.
•Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Understanding of Retail Workforce Scheduling and business drivers that drive labor demand a strong plus.
•Experience with Microsoft Project a plus.
•Broad knowledge of labor management, HR / Payroll, ERP, or similar domain product/systems.
•PMP certification preferred
