Programmer Analyst, Kronos Incorporated, Lowell, MA

Responsible for the design, development, testing and maintenance of SharePoint applications to address business automation projects. Specific duties will include:

• Works closely with Kronos Business Units to understand their specific needs related to collaboration, document management and retrieval and workflow processes as they relate to SharePoint functionality. This set of tasks involves collecting and understanding business and functional requirements and working with Business Units to think through and define workflow processes, notifications and check-offs.
• Analyzes existing Kronos internal programs and infrastructure to formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting and architecture for new SharePoint Pages and other functionality.
• Performs software application development work in SharePoint using and working with a variety of applications including HTML, CSS, JavaScript Libraries, SharePoint Framework, SharePoint Master Pages, SharePoint Search, Display Templates, Web Parts and Modern Client-Side Scripting.
• Prepares the system and programming documentation for the software applications that the Programmer Analyst designs and develops and then ensures that this documentation meets the standards for software application development set by Kronos.
• Works with a variety of systems in the development process including document libraries, relational database management tools, Event Handlers, SharePoint Designer Workflows, InfoPath, PowerShell Scripting, custom web applications and portals, content management solutions, MVC applications, PowerApps, Flow, integration and Cloud services.
• Oversees, monitors and analyzes SharePoint administration, system monitoring and health check programs.
• Performs content migration and content reorganization utilizing Metalogix Content Matrix and similar tools.
• Migrates content and functionality from the old Kronos Intranet to a new SharePoint-based Intranet including handling complex technical issues related to this up-date and migration process.
• Develops data conversion and system implementation and deployment plans and makes technical recommendations with respect to the development, maintenance and system standards for SharePoint operations.
• Develops and creates training systems for Business unit users of new SharePoint Pages.

Qualifications

Requirements:
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IT or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a Programmer Analyst. Must also have 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) with the following: (i) Working with SharePoint Online Development and Administration; (ii) InfoPath Configuration; (iii) Building custom list workflows and site workflows utilizing SharePoint Designer; (iv) client-side webpart development using CSOM, REST API, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML, CSS; (v) advanced SharePoint Search Configuration, Master Pages, Display Templates and Managed Metadata; and (vi) Metalogix Content Matrix and creating custom PowerShell scripts.
