Description

Product Marketing Specialist (Levels 1 through 3) & Product Marketing Mgr (Levels 4 through 6): Develops specific marketing plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena. Develops business plans and product positioning in the marketplace. Oversees market research, monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs. Establishes pricing strategies. Works with engineering, manufacturing and sales to develop new products or enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).

This is a challenging and broad-ranging role where the Industry Marketing Specialist will assist Kronos in driving growth across the State/Local Government & Education vertical and sub-verticals.

Specific responsibilities include:

•Use a variety of data sources to analyze relevant business situations/trends and proactively recognize, evaluate, and develop messages to address key business issues, drivers and growth opportunities
•Assist in the development of go-to-market strategies for State/Local Government & Education vertical and sub-verticals.
•Assist individual sales executives in preparing for prospect engagement
•Develop easy-to-use and meaningful sales tools
•Collaborate with Industry Marketing Director and sales to develop and execute programs, events, and initiatives that support the industry vertical goals
•Coordinate and maintain communication link between the field and corporate (e.g. portals, newsletters, training webinars, team calls)
•Work cross-functionally with departments including but not limited to: creative, field marketing, corporate marketing, corporate communications, and partners

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree required
•3-5 years’ industry experience in Higher Education, K-12 or Government
•Candidates must be analytical, curious, creative and detail oriented.
•Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and an ability to work and collaborate cross-functionally
•Self-starter who can identify problems and proactively suggest and execute solutions with minimal hands on supervision
•Ability to learn quickly and work at a quick pace with a results driven mentality
•Strong capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines to successful completion
•Aptitude for technology and ability to connect and translate concepts to customer value
•Ability to be persuasive and diplomatic and demonstrate a strong interest in understanding what motivates people to purchase products or solutions
•Willingness to travel approximately 25%
