The Print Production Manager is responsible for managing all printing production activities with a focus on consistent client experience and improvement processes and technology to create scale for growth. Coordinates print and shipping operations, manages the production staff, ensures printers and sealers are repaired, schedules regular equipment maintenance, order supplies, as well as quality assurance of the operations output.

Responsibilities:
• Schedules printer and sealer fulfillment and shipping for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly pay statements, live payroll (including tax payments) and vendor checks
• Schedules year end printer testing, as well as resources year end printing, sealing, shipping, supplies, equipment maintenance and other resources
• Gathers print schedules for the next day, identifying any new clients to ensure QA of all new client printing
• Manages the shipping vendors and resolve shipping issues—Beeline, FedEx and UPS, ensuring timely and accurate shipping
• Provides daily status updates – including daily and weekly production quantities of each production department/team – to key stakeholders
• Develops daily staffing plan to meet production need and assesses project/resources requirements
• Coordinates all project matters and monitors progress daily, updating the project plan with actuals and forecasts to ensure availability of current and correct information
• Works with outside vendors to ensure agreement with procurement is fulfilled in a timely manner and that products and/or services meet quality requirements.
• Monitors and audits quality control standards and creates new standards when needed (added equipment, staff, etc.)
• Analyzes production for efficiency and implement best practices and processes to control costs and keeping abreast of new technologies
• Acts as a point of escalation, responding to issues and escalated customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in print and shipping production. Experience supervising production staff and ability to manage and grow the business
• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience
• Knowledge and experience working with enterprise printing and sealer equipment in addition to quality systems, standards and process improvement
• Strong computer software skills – Microsoft Office Suite
• Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, carry, communicate and lift to 50 lbs.; this position requires the incumbent to stoop, kneel or crouch. Ability to stand for an 8 hours shift
• This position may require the employee/applicant to drive a motor vehicle and travel on a limited basis. Typically, 8:30am to 5:00pm schedule with some evening and weekends during peak production
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Noise level can reach high levels when production is running full capacity
