We are looking for a principal level database developer who can solve highly complex issues affecting the organization and customers by applying expertise and ingenuity to innovate and create solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:
• Experience developing highly advanced database technologies, theories, and techniques
• Hands on development of advanced database concepts
• Develop solutions that consider future concepts, products or technologies in alignment with long-range goals and objectives
• Impact direction of the organization through the development of innovative solutions and accomplishment of long-range objectives
• Provide expertise and advice toward setting strategy, goals, and policies, as well as furthering major projects and initiatives
• Ability to anticipate cross-functional business and regulatory issues
• Lead multi-disciplinary initiatives with notable risk, complexity, and impact
• Develop strategy for execution and provide thought leadership


• BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Relevant 12+ years technical experience
• Experience with PostgreSQL/EnterpriseDB PPAS and/or Oracle databases
• Proficient at complex database design and optimization in a cloud SaaS environment
• Knowledge of SQL scripts including Stored Procedures, PSQL scripting, SQL Monitoring tools, and Performance monitoring and tuning
• Knowledge of Java platforms and middleware is a plug (e.g. Tomcat), experience with JDBC connection pools
• Knowledge of Apache Cassandra/DataStax Enterprise is a plus
• Practical experience in managing the internal and external database security
• Experience using Agile software development cycle tools (JIRA, Confluence, Git, Jenkins)
• Analytical and diligent with great attention to detail, strong collaborative skills and excellent verbal and written communication
• Resilient: ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
