The Tax Services Manager is responsible for management of all tax related Kronos Payroll Services (KPS) functions. This includes overseeing daily balancing and tax payment activities, timely preparation and remittance of tax returns, coupons, and amended tax returns for our client base, development and implementation of best practices and leadership of the tax department to ensure internal and external client satisfaction.

• Plans, directs, and coordinates all tax operations to include development and maintenance of calendar of key activities, setting of goals and performance expectations for the department, and monitoring progress while continually evaluating activities to implement business process improvements
• Ensure KPS follows all applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance of internal controls and governing federal and state laws.Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and how they affect the company, researching complex tax issues as needed
• Develop and implement appropriate controls throughout KPS. Identify, define and recommend best practices where appropriate to ensure compliance with KPS standards of business conduct
• Monitors and manages client’s tax related issues and client escalations.
• Provide direction and leadership toward the research and resolution for tax notices/discrepancies referred by federal, state, and local agencies in a timely manner to mitigate potential penalties and interest
• Monitors Salesforce case volume and other related metrics, identifies and implements opportunities for proactive measures to prevent future concerns specific to tax notices and amendments and other tax payment and filing challenges
• Drives department education and knowledge enhancement specific to system functionality, ensures members are familiar with all applicable system enhancement and legislative changes to ensure compliance with all jurisdiction requirements
• Drive meetings with cross-functional departments to identify and implement payroll tax process improvements and best practices to eliminate errors
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and government regulation.Ensure the financial operations of KPS are handled consistently and in a timely manner. Ensure appropriate financial information is available to tax department


•Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in payroll tax and payroll tax processing
•Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams with well-defined deliverables
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field and/ or equivalent experience is required. Master’s degree in Business Administration or another related field preferred
•CPP is preferred
