Description

Kronos Cloud Infrastructure Team is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of network / security infrastructure in our hosted production environment. The position requires practical hands on knowledge and a thorough understanding of network security architecture. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to-

• Provide production network deployment, configuration, support and upgrades of Load balancing, DNS, and System Logging services
• Assist as needed with Switches, Routers as well as WAN circuits, MPLS and VPN services
• Perform network monitoring to provide proactive alerting and historical performance records
• Plan for capacity and growth of the environment
• Assist in the development and implementation of standardized IT practices and procedures
• Collaborate with other support teams to provide quality of service to the customer both internal and external
• Documentation in the form of basic How to documents, designs documentation, performance reporting as well as operational procedures
• Support ticket / queue management in a follow the sun support model
• Support and work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management
• Participate in 24x7 system support shift rotation and handle escalations

Qualifications

• Related Bachelor’s degree plus more than 5+ years of experience with enterprise networks
• Experience in a Hosting, SaaS, or Cloud environment is strongly desired
• Strong fundamental and in depth experience with network load balancing services and appliances is required
• Solid understanding and direct hands on experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, F5 LTMs and Cisco
• Strong fundamental and in depth hands on experience with DNS and Enterprise alliances like Infoblox and or DNS service providers is required
• Fundamental understanding and direct hands on experience with major vendor’s router and switch configurations: Juniper and Cisco
• In depth understanding and experience with WAN technologies
• MPLS / EVPL, DS1, DS2, OCS, T1/T3, and even POT’s and dial up modem services
• Experience designing, deploying and supporting dynamic routing protocols
• Proficient in the following network protocols: TCP/IP, RIP, DNS, BGP, OSPF, SIP, VOIP, SFTP, etc
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Extensive experience with the setup and support of business to business VPN’s is a plus
• ITIL experience or certification in the following areas is a strong plus
• ITIL foundations V3, Change management, Problem management, Capacity Management
• Relevant Network/Security Certifications (for Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, Cisco etc)will be a value add
