Kronos' Cloud Infrastructure Team is seeking a seasoned Sr Network Engineer capable of integrating into an experienced team responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance and occasional deployment of network and security infrastructure in our hosted production environment.

The position requires practical hands on knowledge and a thorough understanding of network routing and security architecture. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to…

• Provide daily operational and implementation support interacting directly with our Customers
• Provide daily ticket/queue management and monitoring alert support
• Participate in 24x7 system support rotation and handle escalations in a high-pressure environment
• Support and work within the ITIL support structure for Change, Problem and Capacity management
• Manage and contain business risk as it pertains to the Cloud network infrastructure
• Assist in the development and implementation of standardized IT practices and procedures
• Develop documentation in the form of basic How To documents, design documentation, performance and reporting as well as operational procedures.
• Provide network deployment, configuration, support and upgrades of Firewalls, Load balancers, WAN accelerators, Switches, Routers and DNS as well as WAN circuits, MPLS and VPN services
• Performance monitoring and tuning of the environment to achieve high performance
• Collaborate with Corporate IT, Technical Operations, Platform and DBA teams to assess and support future growth and capacity requirements.
• Automate repeatable tasks to achieve consistency, reliability and efficiency of service delivery

Qualifications

• 4-year technical degree and 6 years or 10+ years relevant experience working on critical 24x7 networks within a large company
• Strong customer service skills
• Strong desire to drive Continuous Improvement
• Thorough understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, SIP, MPLS/EVPL, BGP, RIP etc.
• Extensive knowledge of both layer 3 and layer 7 Firewalls and IDS/IPS. Juniper and Palo Alto experience would be a plus
• Proficiency with Network load balancing appliances and business-to-business VPN setup and support. F5 and Cisco platforms would be a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and comfortable in global working environment
• 2 years of experience within a Services Hosting, SaaS, enterprise ECommerce or Cloud environment is desired
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Python would be a plus
• Network/Security Certifications (JNCP, JNCIE, JNCIP, JNCIS, JNCIA, JNCSP-ENT, CCNA, CCNA Security, ACE, PCNSE) would be a plus
