Seeking an architect-level network engineer to join a technology team responsible for the design, deployment and maintenance of global network, security and authentication infrastructure.
• Desire higher-level thinker capable of contributing to design discussions.
• Team is responsible for all aspects of infrastructure including authentication and authorization, security, forensics, voice/data and network services.
• Candidate should have fundamental understanding of one or more of these technologies. Specific systems include Juniper switch and firewall, PaloAlto firewall, F5 BigIP, InfoBlox, SolarWinds, Q-Radar or Silver Peak Edge connect.
• Working knowledge of application architecture and security highly desirable.
• Operational support requires working with vendors to ensure the network is functioning at optimum levels.
• Monitoring network performance and recommend improvements, perform troubleshooting, diagnose and resolve network problems.
• Willing to work off-hours and weekends, as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience with 8+ years related experience in a fast-paced environment
• This is position requires managing of complex data projects through the analysis, design and implementation phases and requires the ability to complete projects on time and within budget with little supervision.
• We need a leader who can successfully navigate through a matrixed organization
• Knowledge of forward-thinking technologies is a must.
• Must have areas of knowledge including BGP, OSPF routing protocols, QoS design and implementation, software defined networking and IPv6.
• Architecture level understanding of Virtual Function Networking, VMWare distributed switch and NSX and network overlay concepts is desirable.
• Communicate effectively with senior management and team members, excellent written and verbal communications skills.
