The Manager will be responsible to be the technical lead of his/her team of developers and QA engineers, a contributor to the code base, and one who participates in the design and development of features and resolution of defects.  Further, he/she will also be responsible for delivering a quality release and set of features – making decisions about feature readiness and identifying areas for quality improvements.  Finally, the will be responsible for the management of their team of both QA and Dev engineers.     

People Management Responsibilities:  
- Owns the overall performance management of each individual in the team
– including providing frequent performance feedback & guidance and conducting formal annual and midyear focal reviews
- Sets, communicates, and monitors performance & development goals and achievements on an on-going basis for self and team
- Owns the overall career management of each individual in the team and provides advice on career and learning paths
- Serves as a single point of contact for junior team members for addressing concerns / queries raised by members in the team (regarding various issues including staffing / HR systems & policies)
- Provides inputs to HR around training needs of the team   Project Management Responsibilities
- Develops, supports, maintains and implements a medium, moderately complex project through a team
- Leverages individual team strengths for optimal team effectiveness
- Supervises the day to day work of lower level individual contributors
- Sets own work schedule for the project team to meet established objectives
- Interacts with the identified Scrum Master and / or program manager for finalizing schedule / timelines etc.
- Applies own judgment to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed through a team independently post review   Organizational Responsibilities
- Contributes in application of knowledge to practical issues in related assignments or projects.

Graduate degree in Computer Sc./ Engineering from top colleges of state universities and other good engineering institutes with 60% throughout academics. Degrees attained B.Tech/B.E./MCA/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./M.S. in Computer Science / IT and related field.  12-16 years industry experience     Experience with programming in Java  

- Software specifications and design techniques
- Application development tools (including workstation operating systems)
- Programming concepts and languages
- Unit testing frameworks and functional testing frameworks
- System development process tools  
- Experience with HR, Payroll or other Labor Management products a plus
- Experience with SAAS + Multi-tenant solutions a plus
- Experience of managing team of engineers in a product company
- Object-oriented analysis, design and programming, database modelling etc
- Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web Services
- Database Technologies (SQL Server)
- Design Patterns  
- Database techniques/tools such as data modelling
- Object Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks such as Hibernate
