Kronos is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join an exciting newly established function. This highly visible, strategic position is responsible for directing and coordinating all activities associated with managing process and quality engineering execution with Kronos’ Contract Manufacturing provider. This role will work with internal and external team members associated with all hardware manufacturing, supply chain operations and design engineering. The total cost associated with these operations is approximately $40 million. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Determines root cause and corrective action analysis for issues that arise during assembly and test, provides failure analysis report as required.
• Manage and communicate technical product changes to mfg including ECO, MCO, waivers, deviations, substitutions, AVL changes, etc.
• Liaison between Hardware/Software Engineering and Contract Manufacturing provider
• Manage 3rd party contract manufacturer to drive product quality improvements
• Define, Set and Manage product quality goals and plans
• NPI Mgt - Manage business processes for all Hardware and Software rollouts to contract manufacturing provider
• Assesses process capabilities, identifies improvement opportunities and integrates new processes & equipment to maximize manufacturing throughput and velocity
• Drives Lean and Six Sigma process and methodologies with Contract Manufacturing provider.
• Manage and drive closure of external customer complaints and corrective actions (CA) with Contract Manufacturing provider
• Support Kronos Global Support (KGS) technical concerns and quality processes
• Responsible for managing and driving low cost processes


• Engineering degree or equivalent degree required
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience working in process and product engineering role within electronic manufacturing
• Previous leadership, management and supervisory experience, and excellent time management abilities.
• 3-4 years’ experience in Program or Project Management.
• 5-7 years quality management systems and process experience
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, exercise good judgment, and achieve results through others.
• Professional and effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and ability to build strong customer relations.
• Experience implementing Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Enthusiastic, aggressive, self starting with strong interpersonal skills.
• Cost/price analysis experience a plus
• Previous experience working with/for Contract Manufacturing in an operational management role desired
• Proficient in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office
