Manages one or more teams of Workforce Solution Consultants. Ensures that sales staff receives required level of technical assistance in performing demos and in answering prospects' questions. Usually reports to a sales executive. Is responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Typically requires seven or more years of experience in product sales support with one year of leadership responsibility.

Based on sales needs (customer or prospect specifications) matches consultant’s with sales reps for optimal sale success.
•Tracks consultant skills and establishes improvement plans.
•Ensures execution of improvement plans.
•Conducts on-site observations of each subordinate consultant for skill evaluation.
•Researches (both internally and externally) market in order to proactively target new skill sets, training requirements and tools needed by subordinates.
•Regularly meets with sales management to investigate close ratio and how presales assistance could be enhanced for ratio improvement.
•Responsible for work load balance among subordinates.
•Provide/Coordinate new presales rep training in the field - around topics such as; product training, industry training, ROI/value training, etc.
•Recruit, hire, and retain presales consultants.
•Serve as escalation point for issues within immediate area.
•Help determine the qualification level and strategy of prospective deals.
•Frequent two-way interaction with industry marketing - collaborating on market direction and developing specific messaging/programs for vertical and sub-market segments. Regular feedback on real world customer reactions to marketing messages.
•The Presales Manager serves as a conduit for the team to provide real-world feedback to the various Product Management teams on the product and use cases.
•When necessary, in conjunction with other functional areas, work with dissatisfied customers to help repair damage.


•Prior management experience is a must for this position including conducting performance reviews, hiring/termination, and employee motivation.
•Candidates should possess an understanding of the consultative sales cycle and sales techniques
•Must also have an understanding of general consulting processes
•Requires particularly strong presentation (either in person or remote) skills knowledge, along with excellent writing skills.
•Experience in the Workforce Management field is a plus.
•Experience with Corporate Visions or similar business presentation classes is a plus.
•This person can work from any city nationally.
•Up to 30% travel required
