The Technology, Operations, Product and Support (TOPS), Technical Training team at UKG is looking for a self-motivated experienced Manager of the Learning Programs team who has a proven track record of implementing impactful learning experiences for technical and support audiences working in a SaaS environment. As a member of the Technical Training team, you will lead a team of Learning Program Managers (LPMs) in partnership with business leaders to design, develop and deliver holistic quality learning solutions that solve business problems, support business goals, and equip teams for high performance. Your initial focus will be to work closely with our global support team to establish onboarding programs that skill employees in the support of our enterprise workforce management software product.

Responsibilities
• Lead a small team in a partnership with internal stakeholders through the training cycle on the design, creation, and implementation of innovative learning and performance solutions that solve business problems
• Identify what drives the business and how the learning function can best add value
• Work with Sr Manager in the development of overall training strategy for TOPS organization
• Define and scope projects with LPMs working closely with instructional designers (IDs), SMEs, business managers to understand their needs, learning objectives, outcome statements and project plans
• Implement best practices in needs assessment methodologies and learning needs identification
• Apply adult learning theories, learning design theories, latest technologies, and current industry practices when crafting solutions
• Develop and manage project plans that successfully deliver promised learning program results
• Identify process improvement strategies to expedite the production of training curricula and enhance the quality of materials being delivered
Analyze program data and metrics to diagnose gaps, identify opportunities and implement change to ensure learning portfolio products are current, relevant, impactful and delivered in the most efficient and effective manner

People Management
• Lead a team responsible for the design and creation and delivery of learning programs
• Drive productivity, engagement and retention of team members
• Empower and encourage employees to make decisions independently while providing direction and removing obstacles
• Create an open environment for shared ideas, collaboration and cooperation
• Keep the talent bar high and grow the skills and capabilities of the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Adult Learning/Education, or related field preferred
• 4 plus years direct people management, focused on leading, motivating, mentoring and developing L&D professionals
• 5 plus years developing and implementing scalable and valuable learning solutions for technical audiences; SaaS/Cloud experience preferred
• Experience working with customer & product support teams

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Knowledge of workforce management technologies
• Knowledge of adult learning theories and methods of curriculum and training design, instruction and various learning styles
• Program/Project management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and project management skills
• Ability to manage ambiguous projects, identify and solve blockers, and know when to escalate to keep the project moving forward
• A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams and stakeholders
• Innovative thinker, problem solver and influencer
• Conversant in emerging practices, e.g. learning experience design (LXD)
