Description

A newly created role, the Manager, Credit and Collections will be responsible for credit and collections across Australia, New Zealand and India. Managing a team of 2, you will be leading all credit and collections programmes and policies and driving improvements to cash flow.

• Administer credit and collections programs and policies and monitor adherence
• Implement processes to improve cash flow and decrease accounts receivables
• Report key metrics for credit, collections. Assist in the development of key DSO metrics trending by country, salesperson, sales manager. Cash Collections by aging bucket (Cash received, credits issued, adjustments) Cash Forecasting modeling
• Work with I/T staff and to develop, modify, and test custom reports in Oracle and Cognos (Enterprise Data Warehouse- EDW)
• Analyze financial statements of new and existing customers to determine their credit worthiness, appropriate credit limit, and payment terms for sales transactions
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for senior management as required
• Assist internal and external auditors in gathering information requested pertaining to quarterly and annual audits
• Involvement in key account escalations with escalations team from various business Groups (cloud, Services, Sales, contracts)
• Manage and guide/mentor a collections staff of 2 FT personnel (AU and India) and monitor performance as well as execute and deliver regular performance reviews

Qualifications

• Must have direct functional management experience
• B.A. in Accounting or Finance (business) would be preferred
• Experience and competence in using integrated ERP software, particularly Oracle
• Experience with bankruptcy account follow up would be beneficial
• Proven Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel as well as other MS Office product knowledge
• Exceptional internal and external collaboration and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual, with the ability to meet deadlines and work with multiple projects
