Kronos is seeking an experienced, motivated, practical and solution-oriented attorney to act as counsel for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region and as the point of contact for legal matters in India. Based in Bracknell, UK, this role will primarily focus on the review, drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial agreements to support the company’s diverse offerings, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, equipment purchase agreements and professional services agreements. In this role, you will also provide vital legal and operational support to our regional EMEA team on a wide range of legal matters affecting the region. You will work closely with our Sales and Services teams and in conjunction with internal partners in our Information Security, Cloud Overlay, Product Management, Finance and other teams. The role will report to Kronos Vice President, Assistant General Counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Draft and negotiate complex technology agreements to support the needs of our sales teams and customers across multiple countries in EMEA and in India
• Provide practical legal guidance in a timely manner on a range of legal issues in the regions, including HR matters, data protection and privacy issues (including the GDPR)
• Support Kronos’ privacy and data protection initiatives in the region
• Analyse legal risk with attention to detail while creatively overcoming obstacles
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Legal department policies, processes and templates
• Mentor and assist contract negotiators (non-attorneys) in their support of sales negotiations

Qualifications

• Strong transactional background, with experience in negotiating, drafting and advising clients on technology-related commercial contracts, including multi-jurisdictional transactions, software licensing and cloud services.
• Knowledge and experience handling privacy and data protection issues and laws, including the GDPR.
• Experienced as a qualified solicitor in England & Wales or another EU jurisdiction.
• Self-starter able to work in a very fast paced, changing environment with ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
• Exceptional communication skills and an ability to engage effectively with a variety of levels and audiences
• Ability and confidence necessary to work independently and across multiple functions
• Previous in-house experience at an enterprise SaaS company is a plus, as is multi-lingual capability
