Kronos is looking for an experienced, hands-on, senior software engineer to serve as a team lead for one of our team’s in Lowell, MA. This person will play a key role in the development of our next generation SaaS offering, in a highly collaborative, agile environment. The role requires a passionate leader and great team player with strong Java skills. Will be working on a new responsive & accessible SaaS-based workforce management solution that will be used by high profile companies across retail, manufacturing, healthcare, and many other industries.

• Will be a team lead and collaborate closely with other members of your scrum team, designing and implementing high quality solutions driven by the product owner’s use cases.
• Will share ownership of the definition, elaboration, and completion of your team’s Epics and Stories.
• Will be responsible for writing well-designed, testable, efficient code as a contributing member of the team.
• Should have an affinity for, and the ability to, influence and mentor more junior developers in an effort to continuously improve the tools, skills, and processes of the team.
• Will contribute to the architecture of projects relating to a company’s business structure and job assignment.
• Will be expected to take ownership and responsibility for the delivery and quality of code your team produces.
• Will work under minimal supervision and act independently, requiring a high level of judgment and interpretation to determine the best methods and procedures to make progress.


The following core skills are required for the success in this position:
• 5+ years of Linux Kernel development and experience UBoot/Barebox/MLO for ARM processors
• Experience developing kernel drivers utilizing I2C, SPI and GPIO peripherals

Ideal Candidate will have experience with the following in addition:
• Android AOSP bring-up on ARM processors
• Experience in Audio and Video drivers for Linux/ARM
• Bare-metal board bring-up
• Proficient with device-trees for Linux Kernels
