At Kronos, we see DevOps as a methodology that unites operations and development to automate everything. Our team advocates for, facilitates, and builds a DevOps culture and infrastructure.

This DevOps Engineer will be responsible for deployment automation, simplifying self-service and creating transparency around resource utilization.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Build and support custom tools that facilitate development and QA teams
• Work with the Operations team to build production deployment processes & systems
• Participates in code and design reviews to ensure quality and conformance to product standards
• Working with Google Cloud
• Automating processes using Google API’s with the help of scripting languages (Preferably python)
• Automating creation of customized reports on usage of google cloud machines and deletion
• Reports related to cost of google cloud and how to efficiently use the google machines to reduce the cost
• Knowledge of overall CI/CD pipeline processes and working closely with these teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience with 5-8 years software development experience in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity of system deployment & management systems (Chef/Puppet/Salt) and Jenkins
• Good Knowledge with either public cloud providers (AWS, Google cloud)
• Good Knowledge with CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE Linux
• Development Tools – GIT(Stash), Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Artifactory, Gradle, Grunt
• Ability to write in multiple languages including Python, Java, Ruby, Perl and Bash scripting
• Familiarity with monitoring and reporting tools & Familiarity with cloud management and monitoring tools (RightScale, StackDriver, Splunk)
• Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodology, Excellent Debugging / Troubleshooting skills, Excellent communication skills
• Understanding Rightscale and its configurations related to Google cloud which would eventually help in automation
