Kronos is looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer with application development experience to join our team in our Branchburg NJ office.

The Software Development Engineer needs to be able to deliver on the technical vision of the company.

The Software Development Engineer will work with clients, product managers, analysts, architects and engineers to plan, design, develop, test and implement information technology solutions consistent with the business objective.

The Software Development Engineer will develop and review requirements, create design documents, write programs, package, test, configure and deploy software.

The Software Development Engineer will also participate and collaborate with other stakeholder including security, quality assurance, training, project management, engineering, hosting, & procurement when required to assist in other aspects of their projects.

The Software Development Engineer at Kronos are expected to be results-oriented, be familiar with business process, functions and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

•Develop & enhance effective programs & data structures that successfully meet the objective.
•Participate effectively in relevant aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC) including planning, construction, testing, reviews and demonstrations.
•Collaborate with team to design, develop, test and refine deliverables.
•Investigate and resolve simple to complex application issues as needed package, configure and deploy software
•Review and create system, software and functional design specifications that address requirements.
•Collaborate with clients, Product Managers, Architects, & Analysts to develop and review requirements & design.
•Participate in project planning and release management.
•Expected to manage broader or multiple projects at a time.
•Able to independently perform day to day activities with little instruction, using proper judgment to determine when to involve stakeholders with decisions regarding the overall function or direction of a given feature or application scenario.

Qualifications Required

•Knowledge of Java based web development: Java, J2EE, XML, JavaScript, AJAX
•Experience with generating SQL queries, MS SQL Server
•Familiarity with latest UI technologies: React, AngularJS, NPM, HTML, CSS
•Programming concepts, design patterns, OOP, TDD
•Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodologies
•Version control systems and methodologies (GIT preferred)
•BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience
•3+ years direct industry experience in Application Development

Preferred Qualification

•Experience developing software solutions for Time and Labor management applications.
•Working knowledge of integration of external hardware with Time and Labor management application
