You can just as clearly explain big-picture processes as step-by-step procedures, all while telling a story that keeps the learner engaged. You can delight our customers with crafted content that conveys ideas and processes in an impactful, engaging, and memorable way. At the same time, you can deliver rapidly, on time, and according to established standards and guidelines. You prefer a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment, like to work hard, and just as importantly, have fun.

We are looking for an Instructional Designer/Curriculum Lead to craft an engaging and effective customer curriculum. This Instructional Designer/Curriculum Lead is a member of UKG Learning’s Global Customer Development Team and is responsible for the overall design, development, and project planning ownership of an assigned curriculum.

The Instructional Designer in this position works with and enhances our defined design and development process to produce learning solutions on time and of the highest quality. UKG Learning Global Customer Development delivers top-quality educational solutions in a variety of modalities, including virtual classroom and eLearning. Instructional Designers are expected to work with multiple modalities and will have opportunities to keep their skills current. Instructional Designers create innovative education solutions for multiple UKG products in a variety of vertical industries. This position reports to the Manager for UKG Learning Global Customer Education Development.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Assume project management responsibility for the on-time completion of high-quality education deliverables in your assigned curriculum; proactively raise awareness if obstacles are preventing the accomplishment of a task or project
• During the planning stages for a product release, propose innovative and effective learning solutions for your assigned curriculum to Learning Management; learning solutions should reflect the expressed learning needs of our customers, showcase the strategic direction of our products, and maximize the business value of our education portfolio
• Conduct Knowledge Transfer sessions as needed to clearly communicate to development resources the proposed design; revise the design as needed based on input from development resources; mentor and coach resources toward on-time completion of high-quality education deliverables
• Rapidly develop impactful, standardized course materials by adding your own creativity and vision to pre-defined corporate templates, tools, and approved methodologies, including but not limited to learner guides, job aids, Rise pages, self-paced tutorials, interactive job aids, learning assessments, and other supplemental learning materials
• Attend product training sessions and work with UKG products in order to become a product expert
• Attend cross-functional meetings as an advocate for the needs of Learning and for product usability
• Stay current in Learning trends and recommend media, methods, and approaches to implement new ideas in a cost-effective manner
• As needed, deliver virtual training sessions to help our customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience ; formal education in Adult Education or Instructional Design is preferred
• 5+ years’ experience overseeing curriculum development, as well as designing and developing training for enterprise software applications; experience designing technical training is a plus
• Proven ability to develop software training that incorporates adult learning theories, visual learning design, and interactive training techniques; must have experience with development in multiple modes of instruction, including virtual instructor-led training and eLearning; examples required
• Strong oral/written communication and editing skills, ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas, and ability to accurately and clearly present new information required
• Must have the ability to work both in teams and independently, manage multiple projects, juggle multiple changing priorities, demonstrate high attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines
• Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of eLearning development tools
• Proficiency with report writing tools, business intelligence tools, or Microsoft Excel is a plus
